Messages to the Administration
In a letter to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), NAUH expressed support for a proposed regulation changing the definition of “uninsured care” to include services not covered by insured patients’ health plans. This change, which will affect the calculation of hospitals’ Medicaid disproportionate share (Medicaid DSH) payments, has been espoused by NAUH for several years.
