Our Federal Policy Agenda

Passage of the 2010 Affordable Care Act (ACA) is already ushering in a new era in the delivery of health care. The ACA holds out the hope of many benefits for private, non-profit urban safety-net hospitals and the communities they serve, but it also poses many challenges as well. These hospitals will be asked to do their jobs in new and different ways; to be held to new and different standards of accountability; and to be paid in new and different ways.
