Medicaid Provider Taxes in Jeopardy?

Medicaid provider taxes are currently under the microscope.  While 44 of the 50 states currently employ such taxes to varying degrees, the Obama administration and others have proposed reducing the rate at which states can tax providers or even banning such taxes.  Now, the congressional “supercommittee” – the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction” – is expected to consider such proposals as well.
